1. the action or state of including or of being included within a group or structure
  2. a body or particle recognizably distinct from the substance in which it is embedded

The simplest definition of inclusion is the act of being included; however, the word carries much more weight than that and can often mean different things to different people. As an international employer, Michelin North America is proud of the thousands of international residents in the area, including our own employees, who contribute to the region’s rich cultural diversity. Their inclusion in our community shapes the very fabric of who we are. For the 2016 Michelin InTIREnational Art Contest, we are excited to pose the question: How Does the Upstate Celebrate International Inclusion? We invite you to share what inclusion means to you.
