About the Artwork
The theme of my project is Humanity. I took two tires cut and painted them to resemble the earth. I cut pieces from another tire and painted them to make two eyes. I placed an eye on either side of the “earth.” I placed the Michelin Man as the pupil of each eye. I also made a stand. I added the quote from Albert Einstein “Remember your humanity and forget the rest” because it says it all.
About the Team
My organization is Homeland Park Tire which is my father’s tire shop. We are strictly a small family business located in Anderson, S.C. We have been in business since 1985. I am 29 years old. I have a wonderful husband of 10 years. We have an ambitious 9 year old son.
The charity that I have entered for is The Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, S.C. They have a special place in my heart. In 2010, my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and had to go through hospice care with The Rainey House until she passed. They treat everyone as family. They really go the extra mile to make sure that you have the chance to spend your loves one’s last days by their side. I could not have asked for more. Thanks to everyone at The Rainey Hospice House!
